Consolidation

Consolidation means combining several items, from one seller or from several, into one shipment. A shared container or load is often cheaper per item than shipping each piece on its own.

When it makes sense

  • You are buying more than one item and want them to arrive together.
  • Each item is too small to fill a container on its own.
  • The items are in different places and need to be brought to one yard first.

How it works

  • Items are collected at our yard or at the sellers' yards.
  • We pack, crate and load them together, with each item secured so it cannot shift in transit.
  • We prepare one set of shipping documents for the container, with a clear list of what is inside.

Good to know

  • Storage is available if some items arrive before others.
  • Tell us everything you plan to buy, and we will tell you what can share space. See also Container Shipping.
