Most of the equipment we sell leaves North America in an ocean container. We arrange the whole move: loading, trucking to the port, ocean freight and export paperwork.
How it works
- Choose the container. Smaller machines, parts and attachments usually go in a standard 20 ft or 40 ft container. Taller or wider equipment may need a high cube, open top or flat rack.
- Load and secure. The equipment is blocked, braced and strapped so it arrives in the same condition it left. We can crate or palletize loose parts.
- Truck to the port. In North America we often ship through the Port of Montreal, QC and the Port of Baltimore, MD. We also have partners at most ports worldwide.
- Ocean freight and paperwork. We prepare the export documents and coordinate with the shipping line. Customs and import requirements at the destination are discussed with you before the equipment ships.
Good to know
- Container size, weight limits and destination port all affect the price, so we quote each move individually.
- Several items can share one container. See Consolidation.
- If the equipment is too large for any container, see RORO Ocean Shipping.
