moQuart Privacy Notice. Last updated: October 18, 2026.

1. Who we are

Amos Equipment Corp, doing business as moQuart, 14547 ON-48, Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario L4A 3B5, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described here. This notice explains what we collect through moquart.com, email, phone and messaging apps, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It is written to follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

2. What we collect

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company, and the messages you send us by form, email, phone or messaging app.
  • Orders and delivery: billing and shipping addresses, items bought, order history, and the details a carrier or customs broker needs, such as the consignee's name, address, phone number and tax or import number.
  • Freight quotes: the quote number, price, date, crated size and weight, and the delivery address used for the quote.
  • Selling to us: the details you enter on the Selling form (make, model, year, serial number, hours, asking price, location, condition) and the photos you upload.
  • Payments: card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or keep your full card number. We keep the payment status, amount and the last digits the processor shows us. For bank transfers we keep the transfer record.
  • Site use: cookies and similar technologies, your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you reached the site. We use third-party analytics to understand how the site is used.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to answer your questions, quote and sell equipment, take payment, arrange freight and customs, assess and buy or consign equipment, keep accounting and tax records, prevent fraud, keep the site secure, meet legal duties and improve the site. We send marketing email only if you agreed to it, and every message has a way to unsubscribe. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only as far as needed for the purpose, with these kinds of service providers and parties:

  • Online store, hosting and payment providers, which run the website, checkout, payments and order records, and store quote records, form entries and uploaded photos.
  • Carriers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers we use for your shipment, and customs and border authorities, who receive the details needed to move and clear the goods.
  • Email and messaging providers we use to communicate with you.
  • Accounting and professional advisers, including bookkeeping software providers, our accountant and our lawyers.
  • Authorities and other parties where the law requires it or to protect our rights, or in a sale or reorganisation of the business.

These providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, and it may then be accessible to courts and authorities there under their laws.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order, payment and accounting records: at least six years, as tax law requires.
  • Freight quote records: about 13 months.
  • Selling form entries and uploaded photos: 90 days, unless we make an agreement with you about the equipment.
  • Messages and email: for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up.
  • Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that keep the cart and checkout working, remember your preferences and, through third-party analytics, measure site use. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as checkout, may not work without them.

7. Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access limited to people who need it, signed links for uploaded photos and time limits on stored records. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it (including marketing), subject to legal and contract limits. Email admin@moquart.com. We will reply within 30 days. If we have to refuse a request we will tell you why. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot complete an order or a freight shipment.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our answer, write to our privacy contact below. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

10. Children

The site is for business and adult buyers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this notice. The new version takes effect when posted on this page, with a new "Last updated" date.
